Your Z Software database backup can be scheduled to run at certain times of the day.
To check when your backups are scheduled
- Go to Z Office > Tools > Scheduled Tasks > Manage Scheduled Tasks
- Press Search to load all your scheduled tasks. You should find at least one database backup, monthly debtor account aging and scheduled reports if you have any
- Double click a backup task to view/edit it. From there you can see what time it is scheduled to run and where it is configured to save
To run a backup
- Go to Z Office > Tools > Scheduled Tasks > Manage Scheduled Tasks
- Press Search to load all your scheduled tasks. You should find at least one database backup, monthly debtor account accounts and scheduled reports if you have any
- Highlight one of your backup tasks and press 'Run Scheduled Task'
Failed Backup Warning
We have included a prompt to warn you if your backup has failed. The prompt will inform you when you first open any of the Z programs and at 2 hour intervals thereafter.
There is no way to prevent the prompt from appearing as backups are critical to the safety of your data. If you continue to experience these prompts, please contact us to investigate the cause.
The warning will prompt you and provide you with the option to retry the backup in case it was a once off occurrence e.g. the computer the backup was saving to was off at the time.
