Patient Check displays the Scan Check status for the script currently being reviewed.
How this is used will depend on your pharmacy’s workflow. The dispenser may complete Scan Check before the pharmacist review, allowing the pharmacist to confirm its status in Patient Check. Alternatively, the pharmacist can perform Scan Check directly from Patient Check when required.
You’ll learn how to:
- View the Scan Check status
- Open Enhanced Scan Check from Patient Check
- See the updated status after Scan Check is completed
View the Scan Check status
The Scan Check section indicates whether Scan Check has been completed for the selected script.
The status displays as:
- Scan Check complete
- Scan Check not complete
If Scan Check was completed earlier in the dispensing workflow, its completed status is displayed when the script is opened in Patient Check.

Multiple packs and broken packs
Depending on your pharmacy’s Scan Check settings and the selected script, Patient Check may also display:
- Multiple Packs — shows how many packs have been scanned against the total required, such as 0 of 2.
- Broken Pack — identifies that the script includes a broken pack.
These details allow the Scan Check requirements and progress recorded during the dispensing workflow to be reviewed from Patient Check.
