Setting PBS Co-payment Discount on a Patient Level

Important New Changes!

From 1 January 2025, the PBS Co-payment Discount of up to $1.00 will begin to be phased out and the allowable discount will be reduced to:

  • General: Up to $0.10 allowable discount
  • Concessional: Up to $0.80 allowable discount

Z Dispense gives you the ability to set the PBS Co-Payment Discount for individual patients.

  1. In Z Dispense, search for the patient.
  2. Click on the pencil icon or use the keyboard shortcut F8 to open the Update Patient Details window.
  3. Go to the Other tab

  4. Fill the PBS Discount (Default) amount to the desired value

  5. Save the patient to update the patient
