End of Month Procedures

We release a product update at the end of the month that contains product updates for some of the main wholesalers (i.e. API, CH2, DHL, Sigma and Symbion), other suppliers we manage, MIMS updates and any PBS changes. This update will download automatically through your server.
Note: PBS changes won't take effect till the start of the month.

We can also see which pharmacies have failed to download the latest update and will call to investigate accordingly. However, if you feel like you have not downloaded the latest update, don't hesitate to contact the Z Software Support Team.

End of Year Procedures

Most of the End of Year procedures are automated such as the product and PBS update. However, you will need to restart Z Dispense at the start of the new year to clear/remove all Safety Net (SN/CN) numbers/ script values from the system.

It is recommended to close the claim at the start of the new year, rather than the end of the year, in order for the new claim period to take the new year's number. That is, if you close the claim on 01/01/20 the new claim will open with claim number 2001. If you close the claim on 31/12/19, the new claim will open with claim number 19XX.
