Good afternoon Z Users,
PBS Online Claiming is currently experiencing a degradation of service and is under investigation by the PBS team.
As recommended by PBS in the past, pharmacists can:
- call the PBS general enquiries line on 132 290 to confirm the concessional status of the patient (24 hour help line)
- dispense the prescription as a General prescription and issue a receipt for reimbursement from PBS, or
- delay dispensing the prescription until PBS Online is operating
We will update everyone once PBS have confirmed they have resolved the issue on their end. Once the PBS services have returned to normal, you can follow the instructions here to make sure all scripts have been sent to PBS Online.
We have also had reports of issues accessing My Health Record and Active Script List which we believe is related.

Resending Scripts to PBS

While you may be able to resend the scripts as mentioned below, scripts may still be unsent or still be stuck with the status ? as PBS' servers are currently experiencing high loads and degradation issues.
For affected scripts, you will be able to resend the script to PBS to be processed:
1. Resend to PBS the script manually
To resend scripts to PBS, please select the affected script(s) from either the Script History screen or F4, and right click and select "Resend Script".
Alternatively you can highlight the script and use the keyboard shortcut CTRL + R.
2. Restart Z Dispense to resend the scripts automatically
If you would like to bulk resend all the unsent (scripts with the ? status), please restart Z Dispense. Our program will attempt to resend all the unsent scripts from ALL workstations to PBS.
3. Checking Unsent Scripts and resending all affected scripts
If you would like to see all the unsent PBS scripts, you can go to Z Dispense > Claims and under the Show dropdown menu, select "Scripts with no PBS Online Info":
To resend the scripts from here, you can select which scripts you'll like to resend OR CTRL + A to select all the unsent scripts, right click and press "Resend":
We will update everyone once PBS have confirmed they have resolved the issue on their end.
