To Delete a Script
To delete a script in Z Dispense:
- Go to Z Dispense > Search for the patient you wish to delete their scripts
- In the Script History window, select the script you wish to delete and either use the keyboard shortcut 'DELETE' OR right click and select 'Delete (Cancel)'
- Depending on your workstation confirmation popup settings, the system will prompt:
- Click on Yes to proceed
- The script will be deleted
For Barney Layout Users
For users that are using the Barney Layout, you can also delete the script in the keyboard shortcut screen after dispensing or double clicking onto the script in the Script History:
In this keyboard shortcut screen, either press on the Cancel Script button or use the keyboard shortcut 'C' to delete the script.

View Deleted Scripts in the Script History
To view deleted scripts in the Script History, tick the Deleted filter or use the keyboard shortcut 'CTRL + SHIFT + D' on the near the Script History title:
Deleted Script will appear with a strike-through across the script details:
Restore/Undelete a Script
You cannot undelete/restore paperless electronic prescriptions/eScripts. You will need to scan the script again to dispense the script. For more information, please refer to: FAQ on Paperless Electronic Prescriptions.
To restore or undelete a script:
- Go to Z Dispense > Search for the patient you wish to restore or undelete their scripts
- In the Script History window, select the script you wish to delete and either use the keyboard shortcut 'DELETE' OR right click and select 'Undelete (Restore)'
- Depending on your workstation confirmation popup settings, the system will prompt:
- Click on Yes to proceed
- The system will then prompt if you would like to add the restored/undeleted script into the current claim:
By selecting Yes, you will be reclaiming the script into the current claim.
By selecting No, the script will be restored in Z Dispense but not sent to PBS. - Make your selection and the script should now be restored/undeleted.
