While dispensing a script for your patient, you may notice certain tags appear for medications in the Script History Panel.
Currently, the two types of tags you may encounter are [DUP] and [INT].
What does the [DUP] tag mean?
The [DUP] tag stands for 'Duplicate Therapy' and will appear when you are dispensing a medication that shares the same active ingredient as medications that appear with the tag in the patient script history.
What does the [INT] tag mean?
The [INT] tag stands for 'Interaction' and will appear when you are dispensing a medication that has an active ingredient which can interact with the medications in the patient script history.
This information is maintained by MIMs and will only appear if identified by their data.
The tags will appear depending on the level of severity of the interaction and the settings applied for your MIMs interaction warning popups.
Adjusting when your Interaction Warnings appear (Based on Severity)
You can adjust when your Interaction Warnings appear (popups and tags). This will get triggered when selecting a drug during the dispensing process.
To change the Interaction Warning severity:
- Go to Z Dispense > Settings tab > Workstation
- Navigate to the MIMs tab:
- Select the 'Severity' dropdown box and choose the level of warnings you would like to appear:
- You can also choose the level of documentation for the interaction as well as the timeframe in which you would like to detect the interaction.
- Press Save
