The Drug Selection window implements various filter options to help you quickly locate the required drug card. These settings apply to the Drugs section in the Main Menu of Z Dispense as well as the drug search window which appears while dispensing a script.
The list of items are displayed alphabetically and are grouped into sections prioritised in the following order:
- Generic Category (if enabled)
- PBS Items
- Private Items
Show All Products - This will include all types of items in the search (including front of shop). This is useful for when you are dispensing non-RPBS listed Repat prescriptions.
Include Similar Forms - This will show products with a similar to form to what was searched e.g. if you search for 'tabs' it will also show 'tablets'.
Contains Search (Name, Form and Strength) - This will show products that contain the word you typed in the search e.g. if you search for 'atorv' it will also show 'Amlodipine/Atorvastatin'- having this unticked will only search for items starting with what you have typed in.
Use Fuzzy Search - This will show products which resemble what you typed in the search e.g. if you typed in 'amoxl' it will also show 'Amoxil'.
Generic Name Search - Enabling this option will place all the generic categories at the top of the search list. Allows you to find the required molecule more quickly and browse the available brands. Generic Categories will appear highlighted in green.
Show Inactive - This will show products that are marked as inactive in Z Office. These lines will appear in a grey font.
