You can run Script Reports in Z Office, giving you more flexibility in creating custom reports and being able to schedule reports reports to send to your email automatically.
Manually Running a Script Report:
To manually run a Script report:
- Go to Z Office > Reports > Create New
Currently, there are no preconfigured system reports but you will be able to create and save your own one for future use. - In the Report Type dropdown, select ‘Script Report’:
- Enter the Start Date and End Date you wish to run the report for.
- In the Report Design tab. select the columns you wish to include in the report:
- Press Generate.
Scheduling a Recurring Stock Variance Report
You have the ability to customise a report template to your liking and scheduling it to run periodically.
Configuring a recurring Stock Variance Report
To configure a recurring Script Report Template:
- Go to Z Office > Reports > Create New

- In the Report Design tab. select the columns you wish to include in the report:
- Set the default Start and End dates for your scheduled report:
The following example will report scripts done for the previous day relative to the time the scheduled task is run.
Start: Today Offset: -1 Day
End: Today Offset: -1 DayThe following example will report scripts done for the last 7 days relative to the time the scheduled task is run.
Start: Today Offset: -7 day
End: Today Offset: -1 dayThe following example will report scripts done for the previous month if run on the first day of the month
Start: Start of Month
End: Today Offset: -1 Day - Click Save as New
Creating a recurring Stock Variance Report Task to Email
- Go to Z Office > Tools > Scheduled Tasks > Create New
- In the Add Scheduled Task window, click on the 'Type' dropdown box and select Report:
- Once selected, you can customise the task options:
Description: Enter a task description if needed and ensure that Task Enabled is ticked.
B. Start & End Time:
- Start Time is the date and time that the scheduled report will begin.
- End Time is the date and time you would like the task to stop running. i.e. If you only want to receive the scheduled report for a particular period. Otherwise, leave this blank if you’d like the task to run indefinitely.
C. Frequency: This is the frequency of when you want the scheduled report to occur.
D. Recur Every: This is how often you'll want to run the scheduled report.
E. Delay up to: This is the time to delay, to retry the task if the task fails the first time. You may leave this blank if you're not sure what to input.F. Report to Schedule: Select which report you wish to schedule
G. Report to Save as Type: Choose the file format of the document being saved e.g. PDF for easier viewing or excel for accounting purposes.
H. Email Addresses: Input the email addresses you wish to email the report to. Separate each email address with a space. e.g. test@test.com test2@test.com
I. Paths to save the report: You can choose to also save the scheduled report to a location on your computer or over the network. - Press Save
- To test the task to confirm it works, highlight the newly created task and press Run Scheduled Task in the left panel:
