You do not have to wait until the day of expiry to extend the B2B Device. You can renew your B2B Device now.
By default, your PBS B2B Device is valid for 6 months. You can extend the expiry of your device within PRODA to ensure that your device doesn't expire and cause any interruptions to your connection to PBS Online Web Services.

Checking your Device Expiry
Your Device Expiry is available on the top right corner of Z Dispense, under your PBS Notifications:
Device Expiry Prompts
You will also receive Device Expiry prompts prior to the expiration of your device, to help remind you to extend your device expiry.
You do not have to wait until the day of expiry to extend the B2B Device.
The prompt will appear on the start up of Z Dispense 30 days before your device expires. Then if you haven't extended the device expiry before 7 days of the device expiration, it will prompt you every 2 hours.
Extending your B2B Device
- Phone: 1800 700 199 and select Option 1 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm local time)
- Email: proda@servicesaustralia.gov.au
You will need to login to PRODA and ensure that you have access to managing B2B Devices.
- Login to PRODA
- Select Organisations
- Select the organisation's B2B Device you wish to renew
- Depending on your PRODA set up, you may need to then select your Subsidiary
Organisation as well. - Select B2B Devices to expand the list of B2B Devices available under your organisation
- Select the Device you wish to renew/manage
- This should bring you to the Device details page. Go to the Device Management section and select the Extend B2B Device Expiry button:
- A confirmation prompt will appear. Press Yes if you wish to continue.
- The Device Expiry should have been extended and updated:
Device Expiration
If your device has expired, you will no longer have access to PBS Online Web Services. To reactivate your device, you will need to generate a new code and enter the code in Z Dispense.
Generating New Code
- Login to PRODA
- Select Organisations
- Select the organisation's B2B Device you wish to renew
- Select B2B Devices to expand the list of B2B Devices available under your organisation
- Select the Device you wish to renew/manage
- This should bring you to the Device details page. Go to the Device Management section and select the Generate New Code button:
- A confirmation prompt will appear. Press Yes if you wish to continue.
- The new activation code should be generated:
Please record this code down as it’s not stored within your account. This code is only valid for 7 days and once it expires, you will need to generate a new code.
Updating the Activation Code in Z Dispense
To enter the new code into Z Dispense:
- Login to Z Dispense
- Go to Store > Store Configuration > PRODA - PBS
- Input the activation code in the Device Code field. Copy the Device Name Details and Organisation RA from the PRODA Status details:
- Select the Activate button
- The system should return a Success message in the Response field:
- PBS Web Services should now be active in Z Dispense
