HICAPS (previously known as Lantern Pay) is an online claim payments platform that simplifies payments for self-directed care (e.g. Transport Accident Commission and Work Safe Victoria).
At the moment only Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and Work Safe Victoria (WSV) support pharmacies and therefore are the only providers that pharmacies can use at the moment.

Setting Up HICAPS
In order to use HICAPS, you will need to sign up with HICAPS and obtain an API Secret and an API Key. For more information, please refer to the following HICAPS Guides:
- Go to either Z Dispense > Store > Store Configuration > Integration OR Z Office > Settings > Store Settings > Integration:
- Under the HICAPS header, tick ‘Enable HICAPS’ and input the API Secret and API Key.
- Press Validate to check that the API Secret and API Key are correct and that a connection to Lantern Pay can be made. If the details are correct, you’ll get a confirmation prompt:
- Press on Provider Setup to enter in your Provider Number. Currently, this is required for WorkSafe Victoria.
- Restart Z Dispense.
- The HICAPS icon should now appear in the Main Menu Ribbon:
